As a performance maker I begin from a sense of space, time and the audience, and work both at intimate levels (one-to-one) and large-scale, and in both theatrical and real places. As a poet I write in the ear, where all language(s) is(are) available. My work is often long in the making.
My current project is The Medead, an epic of the life-journey of Medea, sections at Mabou Mines, New York (in residence 2004-5), to be produced by The Tramway, Glasgow, & the Rotterdam Schouwburg.
I also plan a New York version of L'lle (The Island), recreating the dreams of New Yorkers in the sites dreamt of.

2003 L'lle (The Island), A new theatre work commissioned for the opening of Lille European Cultural Capital 2004, France; the work uses 10 actors, 30 volunteers and about 70 locations, is by appointment only and is structured as a live hypertext.
